When a suspended animation pod with a child inside washes ashore on an isolated island of Vinea, Khany is dispatched to investigate - and takes Yoko along with her. Roger Leloup joined Herge's studio in 1953, where he assisted Herge in drawing Tintin's Adventures. He has also worked with Peyo, creator of the Smurfs. "Yoko Tsuno" debuted in Spirou magazine in 1970. Leloup was awarded the much-coveted Grand Prix de la Jeunesse Sci-Fi in 1990.
