The A Court of Thorns and Roses series (also known as ACOTAR) is a sweeping romantic fantasy for young adults.

It follows the journey of huntress Feyre Acheron into the dangerous, alluring realm of the Fae, where she will lose her heart, face her demons and learn what she is truly capable of. 

Throughout the first three books we follow Feyre’s path as she navigates this strange world and her place within it. In book 4, A Court of Frost and Starlight, Feyre's story is joined by Rhysand's, High Lord of the Night Court. Rhysand and Feyre narrate the fourth book together and the story bridges the events in A Court of Wings and Ruin and the next books in the series.

Sarah J Maas’ books are thriling, seductive and action-packed. She started writing at just sixteen and her YA series Throne of Glass (see the Throne of Glass series order here) has sold millions of copies worldwide. Fans have been waiting for news of an A Court of Thorns and Roses movie since the film was optioned, on publication in 2015. The book series continued with the fifth book A Court of Silver Flames which came out in early 2021

This series includes mature themes and romantic content and is generally recommended for older teens (14+) with parental guidance.
